On a night of frost and ice, she falls from the sky, the beautiful ice-girl Cari, cast out of her world and into ours.

It’s an unusually cold winter, but 15 year old Jake is more concerned with the ice forming in his dad’s new relationship and the fact that the girl he likes is dating his best friend. And now his elderly neighbour is acting even weirder than usual. Could things get even more confusing?

Then Jake finds Cari, lost and alone. Who is she? What has she got to do with the sudden frost, and the wondrous silver city that has appeared in the sky? And what does his elderly neighbour, Mrs Henders know about it all?

Jake is determined to find out. But the secrets Cari bears are more dangerous than Jake can ever imagine. And the fate of our entire world – and that of the City of Silver Light – now rest in their hands.

The Garden of Emily Washburn by Barry Dean – Available 6 April 2012

Washburn“The main rule is simple. You are to be seen only in public with the lady. You are not to try to spend time alone with her. If you agree, you will have a beautiful woman for all of the right functions and be the envy of your peers.” Peter Mortimer agreed to Emily Washburn’s main rule….then broke it.

Now Scott Mawson, an itinerate mathematics teacher and amateur investigator has been hired to find out why Peter Mortimer, an Australian film director with the record for the shortest lifespan of any recipient of a Cannes Film festival leaf, stepped in front of a car just one hour and fifteen minutes after his brush with glory.

Coming soon: Frontier Incursion by Leonie Rogers

For Shanna, joining the Scout Corps had been a dream come true. The Scouts were charged with expanding their knowledge of Frontier, a hostile planet wracked with violent storms.  As the youngest in her class, Shanna struggles to find acceptance and respect amongst her older peers - a task made more difficult by the fact that she has not just one, but two of the colonists' huge feline companions, their starcats.

On a routine patrol, she and the other cadets are swept up in the greatest challenge yet to be faced by the settlers of Frontier. Suddenly their world has changed, and in ways never dreamed of by Shanna and her fellow scouts.
