‘Just Human’ by Angel Hellyer to be released 15 Nov 2024

JUST HUMAN by Angel Hellyer

Supernatural classmates, deadly mysteries, and homework.

Imagine if “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” was set in the world of Tim Burton’s “Wednesday” TV show. That gives you some idea of the vibe of “Just Human”, the latest urban fantasy novel by Australian author Angel Hellyer, which is due for release by Hague Publishing on 15 Nov.

No one knows how or why half the human population simply became mythical creatures one day. Some woke up with wings or pointed ears, while others only discovered their transformation when they burst into flames under the sun, or turned into a werewolf on the next full moon. What is certain is that the world has shifted, and those ‘just human’ have found themselves at the bottom of the social hierarchy.

For our protagonist, being a nerdy outcast was hard enough before this supernatural upheaval. Now, as a human in a school filled with ‘cool’ Creatures, life is even more challenging. But just as things seem to settle, strange and dangerous events occur – even more mysterious than their dad turning into a werewolf.

“Just Human” is a gripping tale of resilience, friendship, and the courage to stand out when everything around you changes.
